Over 40,000 meals provided in 2016!
Friends in Need handed out over 40,000 meals

(41,146 to be exact!) combined from the areas we serve in New York City, Newark, NJ, Philadelphia, Pensacola, FL, and the San Fernando Valley area in California!
We are forever grateful to our donors who support the programs and to our dedicated coordinators and volunteers who consistently help to keep our programs going!

Making The Holidays a Little More Merry in San Fernando Valley
December 2014 – Working with the Columbus based Clinic and Family Resource Center, Friends in Need provided 75 families with Christmas meals and gave 90+ children presents!

Feeding Program Launched in Philadelphia
We are pleased to announce that we started a feeding program this month (April). The program is being held every Sundays at 12 pm at 1801 Vine Street. If you are near the area and looking to do some service, we would love to have you join us! Email us at volunteer@friendsinneedusa.org.

Winter Accessories!
Friends in Need handed out brand new hats, gloves, and scarves at our Newark, NJ feeding program last Sunday (Dec. 11) and this Saturday (Dec. 17) we will be handing them out at our NYC feeding program! A warm THANK YOU to the Center for Pranic Healing for sponsoring this initative this year!

Sponsor A Child: Holiday Gift Giving for Kids with Autism and Multiple Disabilities
NOTE: To donate, Please use PAYPAL (until we resolve some technical issues).
In the last 3 years, Friends in Need has been participating in the Holiday Gift Giving for the kids at Phoenix Center (located in Nutley, New Jersey). These children have autism and multiple disabilities AND most of them come from disadvantaged families, so what they receive from this program is a major event for them!
Join us make a happy event for these kids and sponsor a child (or two)! The kids have already given their Santa list! There are 2 ways to do the sponsorship:
1) Let us know how many kids you want to sponsor, we give you their list and you can buy the present yourself or
2) Make a donation to Friends in Need (online www.friendsinneedusa.org and click on Paypal button), and we will allocate your donation specific to this program.
The average price of the presents is $22. If you decide to do the shopping, we would need the presents by December 12. If you opt to make a donation to this program, we would appreciate if we receive your donations by December 5. This will give us time to shop as well!
Thank you very much for your participation. Your support leaves such a remarkable impact on peoples’ lives.

San Fernando Valley (CA) Families
This past Saturday, July 10, Friends in Need held its first lunch program at 2 housing units in the San Fernando Valley area. We’ve also given books, toys, shirts to those present. It was a success and everyone is looking forward to the August barbecue!
